Description

Upper Peel really has two sides two it.

The Silver Queen / High Lift side and the High Traverse / Funnel side.

The rock field in the middle needs a lot of snow to fill in and still has rocks in it on the best years.

When the High Traverse and the Peak are open, you can access Upper Peel from even higher than the standard traverse from the Silver Queen Express.

When you take the High Traverse, or Upper Banana Entrance, from the High Lift mid-station you are quickly on Upper Peel.

You can also simply traverse under the Silver Queen Express from the Westside access gate on the left at the top of Silver Queen Road.

The side closer to Flatiron tends to be rockier but it is also a little more fun for expert skiers with small cliffs and rock features.

You can also stay near the trees on your right towards Forest for less rocky skiing.

When the two sides merge as the rock field ends, the trail becomes Peel.

You can continue down Peel towards the Hockey Rink or stay right in the woods in Lower Forest or look for black diamond trail markers for the Luge, a small cut trail with a rope on your left that puts you back onto Aspen Park Road towards the Silver Queen.
