Analysing terrain data
The exposure grade does not take into account objective hazards (stone fall, seracs, etc) but only the consequences of the skier falling.
Low Exposure (E1): Exposure is limited to that of the slope itself. Getting hurt is still likely if the slope is steep and/or the snow is hard.
Medium Exposure (E2): As well as the slope itself, there are some obstacles (such as rock outcrops) which could aggravate injury.
High Exposure (E3): In case of a fall, death is highly likely.
Extreme Exposure (E4): In case of a fall, the skier faces certain death.
This line can be seen as the continuation of Olen line or it can also be skied by itself.
The line starts on the right side of Pianalunga.
The line can be easily studied while going up to Pianalunga from the lift.
Skiing Olen just continue on your right passing Pianalunga.
You will ski on ample slope first then passing some very old huts.
Then you will enter the deep forest of Alagna.
This line can be skied after big snowfalls only because usually there is not enough snow in the lower sections.
You can be sure about your whereabouts because the line follows the summer path to the huts, so there are signs that you can see on your way down.
