Exposure

Exposure

The exposure grade does not take into account objective hazards (stone fall, seracs, etc) but only the consequences of the skier falling.

Low Exposure (E1): Exposure is limited to that of the slope itself. Getting hurt is still likely if the slope is steep and/or the snow is hard.

Medium Exposure (E2): As well as the slope itself, there are some obstacles (such as rock outcrops) which could aggravate injury.

High Exposure (E3): In case of a fall, death is highly likely.

Extreme Exposure (E4): In case of a fall, the skier faces certain death.

Medium Exposure (E2)As well as the slope itself, there are some obstacles (such as rock outcrops) which could aggravate injury.

Description

This run is super fun when it is in! You won't find this on the map and rarely know when it is open.

Usually open end of the year or in some cases big snow years.

If this run is open you check in with patrol and sometimes they ski out the ridge with you or if you know where you are going will send you on your own.

This short steep shot is above the south wall area in the bowl, it is an open apron into a narrow quick footed rocky area, finishing in the bowl.

When this run is in it is fun!
