The second stage of the GORE-TEX® Transalpine-Run 2017 starts at the ski resort of Lech in the heart of the Lechtaler Alps and leads extremely steeply over winding trails up to the 2,350-metre-high Rüfikopf, the "local mountain" of Lech. The Rauhekopfscharte (2,415 m) and the Erlijoch (2,430 m) in the heart of the Lechtaler Alps lead over beautiful climbs into the Almajurtal and to the Erlachalpe, 1,922 metres high. The second long climb on this stage takes the participants up the 2,543-metre-high Valvagehrjoch below the famous Valluga, before the last downhill leads steeply down to St. Anton.
