Analysing terrain data
The exposure grade does not take into account objective hazards (stone fall, seracs, etc) but only the consequences of the skier falling.
Low Exposure (E1): Exposure is limited to that of the slope itself. Getting hurt is still likely if the slope is steep and/or the snow is hard.
Medium Exposure (E2): As well as the slope itself, there are some obstacles (such as rock outcrops) which could aggravate injury.
High Exposure (E3): In case of a fall, death is highly likely.
Extreme Exposure (E4): In case of a fall, the skier faces certain death.
Accessed by hiking uphill from Whiskey Slide off Chair 2.
You will encounter a decent pitch above the Red Cliffs Lodge and Parking lots.
This area gets a lot of afternoon sun so the snow can be variable.
The upper section has a few small chutes and cliffs that lead into an open field and then into some trees. The route is accessed from Chair 2 and then by branching off the groomers and poling/sidestepping to the top of your line.
The snow is not often good but if it is, your efforts will be well rewarded with a fun run. This route would be tough to reach on a snowboard given the nature of the approach!
