Accessed off the skier's left side of the cat track as you start your Highland Bowl hike, the Hot Y's (Y-3 to Y-8) is a large area of steep tree skiing and steep, open chutes.

Depending on where you drop in, enjoy a series of short turns on an open headwall that quickly gives way to fairly open and steeply angled tree skiing amongst tall and beautiful pines.

As you work the fall line, this steep 40 degree run will continue rolling over as it starts to widen, with more open chutes forming in its lower zones.

Be mindful that this is a south facing, lower elevation (11,200) run and the snow is not always prime.

These runs, however, are excellent on powder days and often overlooked for the longer runs further up the bowl.
