Chaume may not last very long when you’re skiing it but it’s a beauty.
Way over to the right as you make your way down the mountain, it is nearly always empty.
To get to it you need to either take the Étoile button lift (look out for the sometimes vicious yank it gives you at the start by the way) or cut across the same drag high up on the Rochamout blue run.
A further complicating factor is the fact that you also need to cross the Stade piste, which is often closed for race training.
If you manage to get there though, you’re likely to have a great run and not be bothered by anyone else.
In spring this piste gets particularly good as the sun warms it, melting the top layer and creating beautiful spring or corn snow.
