GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN 2016 4. Etappe
Distance 27,30 km, altitude difference in the ascent 2120 m, altitude difference in the descent 2447 m
The first glacier stage of all twelve GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN events leads from Pitztal to Ötztal. Although it is "only" 27.3 km long, the summit height is over 3000 metres and the trails touch the eternal ice of the Rettenbach glacier. James Bond sends his greetings: The spectacular finish in Sölden - another premiere at the GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN - is not in the valley in Sölden, but at 2176 m at the middle station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. There some scenes of the current James Bond "Spectre" play in the summit restaurant "ice Q".
