To avoid the crowds on the Dolomie, the Grenat, which weaves its gentle and slightly roller coaster-like way past the pylons, provides an easier and longer route to the slightly lower area of the Dolomie slope.

It narrows and gets a bit icy towards the end.

Allowing off pisters to drop right beside the Dolomie (though piste bashers have often created big holes in this area), there is a big cliff drop to the right all the way down.

You may see back country adventurers dropping off this run into the Gers bowl, from the top of the Grand Vans where the run starts.
