Analysing terrain data
For most of the season the Charnia becomes a bevelled and roller coaster course, designed for kids of all ages to experience the thrill of skier/boarder cross.
There are no traffic lights, so common sense as to when to start your run is the prevailing rule and this fabulous, man-made course is lots of fun.
There is normally a run out after the bevels to the right where those not wishing to pursue the cross course can ski beside it.
The final four or five 'humps' will provide lots of air, so straight-lining should only be attempted once the course is familiar and with someone acting as lookout for the final hump.
