Description

Bear Claw is a major intermediate trail on Bear Mountain.

To access this location, either take the Skyeship Gondola Stage II out of the Needle’s Eye area, or the Skye Peak Express Quad out of Bear Mountain (which is the best and most direct choice).

Exit the lift to the left and proceed to Stash Way, then take a left on to Gateway.

This is a busy area so stay alert.

Pass The Stash on skier’s left and stay to the left and then go left on to Bear Claw.

Keep your speed up through here as it is very flat.

The trail will bend to the left and open up to a very wide blue cruiser.

It gets crowded and scraped off.

Be aware of people merging on skier’s left from The Stash at speed.

Slow down at the intersection of Skye Burst as this is the most dangerous intersection at Killington.

Proceed straight through that intersection until the trail dumps on to Skye Burst (lower).

This trail is super fun and has some steep sections.

This trail gets a lot of light.
