Analysing terrain data
Cascade is a long double black diamond trail that is located off Killington Peak which takes you into the Canyon area.
To access this location, you will need to take the K1 Gondola to the Peak.
Exit the gondola down the stairs and proceed on to Great Northern and stay to the right.
You can use the gondola as a reference and then take a right to the gate for Cascade.
This trail is steep so make sure you are confident in your ability before entering through the gate.
Once you are in, the trail is super wide and is usually groomed in the morning, unless it is a powder day.
As you descend, the trail will twist into a double fall line where Escapade merges on skier’s right.
After that spot, the trail gets dramatically steeper and often scraped off with large moguls.
As the trail bends to the left on it’s steepest pitch, you will feel the adrenalin pumping.
It funnels down to merge with the lower Double Dipper.
You can either take a sharp right to stay on Cascade (lower) to Cascade Runout, or to Spillway by passing Lower East Fall on skier’s left to the bottom of the Canyon Quad to go back up.
This trail has varied light.
A perfect expert run for people looking for a long and steep challenge on varied terrain.
