Description

Skye Burst (middle) is a nice and steep black diamond trail in the Bear Mountain area.

To access this location, either take the Skyeship Gondola Stage II out of the Needle’s Eye area or the Skye Peak Express Quad out of Bear Mountain (which is the best choice and the most direct route).

Exit the lift to the left and proceed to the top section of Skye Burst.

Proceed down Skye Burst and stay to skier’s left on to Skye Burst (middle).

This trail is often skied off and icy because it is steep.

The line to the left is a fun challenge if you want to practice negotiating a narrow space that resembles the width of a chute out west.

It is quite short and not unsafe - although you'll need to watch out for people flying at speed here.

This connects to Skye Burst (lower) and then down to Bear Mountain base area.

This trail gets a lot of light.

A great short black diamond trail with some pitch to it on Bear Mountain.
