Analysing terrain data
Chute is a blue groomed cruising trail opened early in the season.
To access this location, you need to take the Snowdon Quad from the base.
The Snowdon Quad is a long and extremely slow ride up.
So, prepare for that.
Exit the lift to the left.
Proceed towards your right and pass the corner of the tree run marked Low Rider.
This trail gets a lot of traffic so careful.
Upper Chute tends to get icy, especially later in the day as it gets little sun.
It has a double fall line so it is not a beginner or intermediate snowboarder’s friend.
When you cross into the huge intersection where Chute crosses over Great Northern BE CAREFUL! There are many collisions in this spot since there are a few trails merging here on a double fall line and some people go way too fast.
If you continue on to lower Chute, watch your speed over the catwalk.
As you descend, there are usually bumps in this section since it gets a lot of traffic.
When approaching the next catwalk watch for people traversing across on lower Great Northern heading back to the K1 lodge.
Once you get past this catwalk, if you want to open up some great carves all the way down to the Snowdon Quad, this is the place to do it.
This trail has varied light.
Perfect for people looking for a long cruiser with varied terrain.
