Skye Burst (lower) is a major intermediate trail on Bear Mountain.
To access this location, either take the Skyeship Gondola Stage II out of the Needle’s Eye area or the Skye Peak Express Quad out of Bear Mountain (which is the best choice and is the most direct route).
Exit the lift to the left and proceed to the top section of Skye Burst.
Proceed down Skye Burst to Skye Burst (middle) or Bear Claw to Skye Burst (lower).
This trail is so much fun and it's usually very sunny and full of moguls.
Be prepared for large crowds as it's such a popular spot on the mountain.
The line all the way to skier’s left is a great bump line for anyone looking for bumps.
As the snow softens up as the day goes on, the whole trail will get bumped up.
In general, Bear Mountain is the place to be in the mornings since it gets morning light with a southern exposure.
On cold New England days, people flock to this section of the mountain because it is the warmest.
This trail gets a lot of light.
It's a perfect intermediate trail with variable terrain on the Bear Mountain section of Skye Burst.
