Description
South Colter Ridge is the broad angled face fall line of the major switchbacks in South Pass Traverse.
This predominately sunny slope is a blessing and a curse; time it right and find yourself skiing endless crud at it’s finest, but miss the timing and find yourself trapped on sun crust or sticky icky snow.
Also, the aspect and elevation of South Colter Ridge means a thinner snowpack, so watch out for potential rocks.
