Description

If bootpacking isn't your bag then dropping into Castle Rock off the traverse from Chair 9 is a great option.

South facing and narrow at the top, there are many immediate options to the left and right.

Rock exposure is abundant until about mid way down the run, and for those who come less frequently it can be dangerous, although tempting, to stray too far from other tracks.

If the coverage is good or you don't mind a core shot, this is a great spot to come for afternoon powder after hiking around the ridgeline in the morning.
