A Gorgeous 4 Day Glacier Trek Through the Bernese Alps

Description

The mountains of the Mont Blanc Massif and the Zermatt region might be higher, but nowhere in the Alps feels bigger than the Bernese Oberland. The area is home to the Aletsch Glacier - the longest glacier in the Alps - and a series of huge and awe-inspiring peaks. As if all that wasn't enough, there are also a handful of beautiful high mountain huts in the region and this trip makes the most of them.

You'll start this trip at the famous Jungfraujoch station having taken the famous train that leads up there from Grindelwald, via the Eiger's north face. From the station you'll then descend the aforementioned Aletsch Glacier, the next day you'll traverse under the mighty Aletschhorn, you'll climb a gorgeous peak on day 3 and your trip will finish when you descend down into the bucolic Blattental valley.
