Description

Since the history of mountain biking in Crested Butte stretches back to the dawn of the sport, this beautiful mountain town has long provided the destination for mountain bike pilgrims from around the world.

Even today, Crested Butte remains the standard by which all other mountain destinations are judged. So what exactly makes it so special?

The mountain peaks surrounding Crested Butte are some of the most majestic and beautiful in the Rocky Mountains. Between, over, and across the sides of these mountains is stretched a spider web of over 700 miles of fantastic singletrack, providing flowing descents, chunky singletrack, and access to these incredible views.

In addition to the towering mountain peaks, in early summer wildflowers tower above your handlebars. Shades of gold, blue, purple, and orange blanket the mountainsides in a stunning array of color, earning Crested Butte the label of "Wildflower Capital of Colorado." Where the meadows turn to forest, you'll find deep aspen groves that turn a beautiful gold in the fall—including the largest living organism on planet earth, the Kebler Pass Aspen Grove.
