Description

Chamonix needs little introduction to mountaineers or skiers - it is the World's most famous mountain town and home to the highest mountain in the Alps. It has a reputation for being the place where alpinists go to test themselves on legendary hard routes, but there are also many easier adventures to be had in the iconic Chamonix mountains.

These 15 adventures (some of which are simply hut approaches) are a good cross section Chamonix's easier offerings, and doing all these over a few weeks in the Valley would represent a good alpine apprenticeship. If you get them all done, you will not be short of tougher challenges elsewhere in the Chamonix mountains...!
