*Mountainbiking high above Gosau from alpine pasture to alpine pasture. Down in the valley the Gosaubach is looking for its way, up on the mountain the bikers fight their way forward. From the Veitenalm to the Falmbergalm and after a short push back over the Gschütt pass back to Gosau.

The view of the impressive Gosaukamm while mountain biking
Mountain biking over forests and meadows - that's what the Hornspitzrunde mountain bike tour in Gosau offers. An insider tip for all who are looking for a tour away from the hot spots in the Salzkammergut. Up on the Hornspitz where thousands of winter sportsmen and women plunge into the valley in winter, you can enjoy the peace and quiet in summer on a nature mountain bike tour.
Start is at the tourist office in Gosau. We follow the B 166 towards Pass Gschütt. After 2.3 km we turn left onto the forest road towards Zwieselalm, cross the ski slope at km 5.70 and after 200 m we come to a crossroads. We drive straight on uphill. At km 7.3 (Falmbergalm) we turn right uphill. At km 8.70, turn right across the ski slope (cable car) towards Torfstuben-Hütte. After crossing the ski slope we take a forest path to the Torfstuben hut. Here a short stretch of trail begins - around the hut, down into the forest keeping to the left and across a bog meadow, then across the stream and past the Moosklausalm on the right onto the forest road. From here we ride slightly uphill, bypass the Bibereck on the Salzburg side until the next crossroads, here we turn sharp right and take the very long forest path (up and down passages) towards the pass gschütt road downhill. There we turn right, drive only a short distance up and down and return to Gosau on the more heavily used main road.
