Start for the tour is in Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee, you go over Bad Aussee to the Ennstal and over a part of Salzburg back to Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee. A great tour for all bikers!

Description

At the foot of the Pötschenpass, we drive briefly at the petrol station St. Agatha along the main road and after the bridge on the left up the old initially steep Pötschenstraße, past the Sarstein until we reach the pass. After the pass, go right on a forest road, up towards Höheralm and then the forest road down to Bad Aussee. (The Sommersbergsee is closed to the public since 2017) On an asphalt road we drive towards Bad Aussee station and soon see the mighty Dachstein Glacier on the right hand side.

Once in Bad Aussee, we drive along the Grundlseer Traun on a fairly flat forest road to the Ödensee at Pichl-Kainisch. Then to Mühlreith, on a forest road on the Steinitzenalm, where we see the mighty mountain Grimming, which is already in the Enns Valley, especially good. Through the Almgraben we reach the Salza Reservoir, not far from Bad Mitterndorf.

On the Viehbergalm the biker can expect a marvelous view of the Dachstein glacier with a unique panorama. It is worth stopping at "Lenis Hütte" and tasting the fresh "Bauernkrapfen". Downhill you go quickly through the known "ovens" to Gröbming.
