From the top station, follow the trail in a south-westerly direction to the Hallstätter Glacier. A track leads from the wind funnel to the lower rock nose of the Eisstein. From there it continues over the middle tongue of Hallstättergletscher directly down to the upper ice lake. There are now about 200 height meters to be mastered to the Simonyhütte. The ski run from the Simonyhütte follows the 650 hiking trail to the Gjaidalm, from there via the Hausberglift to the III section of the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car.It is also possible to choose the ascent towards the Krippenstein mountain station and then the Imisel descent via Eisgrube into the valley. Please note that you are travelling in high alpine terrain. If you are a loner, please be sure to join a group, and if you are inexperienced or unfamiliar with the area, you should only go off-road with a guide.
