The Nene is a natural track that runs along on an old, traditional route. Hence, the name: Nene is how the locals call their grandfather. The trail starts on the left of the Gaislachkogl mid station and takes you to the very borders of the BIKE REPUBLIC.
Description
In the upper part, you ride right into the most breath-taking, jaw-dropping alpine scenery. But stop for looking and taking pictures – otherwise keep your eyes on the track! It is rocky, wet and demanding. You pass two huts before diving into the forest, where it gets even more technical with challenging root and rock sections.
At the bottom, the Nene threads into the BROATE LINE and Schteckler Trail, which take you back down to Sölden.
The trail can be reached on the Gaislach Mountain Bike Route (644) or by mountain lift - Gaisalchkogl Gondola I. This route makes a real insider tip within the giant BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN.
