If you want a relatively easy-going circuit that will still give you high altitude training, then go for the Karstweg.

Description

Located part of the way up the Kitzbühler Horn mountain in Kitzbühel, the run starts and ends at the Alpenhaus, directly next to the Hornbahn 2 top station. First, you head down the mountain along a stretch of assault and then a dirt track, across a couple of fields, before looping back around and ascending to your starting point at the Alpenhaus.

As the route favours fields over the forest and is pretty high up the Kitzbühler Horn, you will experience high exposure to the elements. So keep that in mind when planning which day to embark on your adventure!
