Park your car or drop off a bus at Neustift i. St. Sulzenauhütte bus station and follow the normal trail up to the Sulzenauhütte. There turn left as you would normally go to Nürnberger Hütte. Before crossing a Freigerbach river join a tiny narrow trail on your right that leads to a rocky area under the glacier. There is some old Klettersteig (difficulty A-B, 50m), climb it and still you should be able to see a trail up to the glacier. Rope in before entering glacier and then walk up a gentle slope to the summit ridge of Wilder Freiger. This slope is very conditions dependable, sometimes it is snowy and snow-spikes are enough, other time it's icy and you need crampons. After summiting Wilder Freiger and enjoying amazing views, descend by the normal route down to Seescharte (2762 m) with some scrambling but no need to rope in anymore, turn left to Sulzenau Hütte and back to car/bus. This route is runnable for some very experienced mountain runners or it can be taken as a classic mountaineering adventure with sleeping and Sulzenau Hütte.
