This is an out and back that begins at Athabasca Falls, following the closed highway which is groomed for skate and classic. The first highlight is a bridge over the waterfall. From there the track is mostly in the forest, but emerges to mountain vistas where it passes small lakes. As mapped, the track turns around at Leach Lake, but you could continue toward Meeting of the Waters and find more trails.
