Moraine Lake Lakeshore Trail Map

Once you’ve captured the obligatory photo at the front of Moraine Lake, you can escape the brunt of the crowds by venturing onto the Lakeshore Trail. You aren’t likely to have it all to yourself, but the little bit of walking is enough to keep the majority of people away. The trail is mostly level and smooth as it wanders through the forest at the edge of the lake. Gaps in the trees reveal new perspectives on the water and surrounding peaks as you go along. At the very end of the trail, a boardwalk leads to the river that feeds the lake. You can dip your hand in the ice-cold meltwater running freshly from the glaciers.
