Arguably the best downhill flowy single track at the CNCPP!
Mountain Biking Moderate
The climb up to the top of ‘The Odyssey’ loop is well worth it! The fun, flowy, downhill sections with tight bermed corners makes this a great intermediate level ride. There are many options for riders to access the meadow and the start of the Odyssey trail however, it seems a fitting choice to add the Odyssey as an extension of the ‘Orange loop’. When approaching the meadow from EKG take a left onto the Odyssey trail. The climb is a little steep in some areas but when closer to the top it flattens out before turning into a fun, flowy downhill, (For those seeking a steep thrill there is an option of taking ‘T2’ instead of Odyssey. The T2 trail has multiple lines, one of which is off camber). On Odyssey there are natural features on the trail and at the bottom there are three man-made drops (beginner, intermediate and advanced levels) that lead riders onto Bow, a double track trail. From here riders continue to the right heading East to connect with lower EKG. Eventually the trail connects to Orchid & Canmore Trail (rated easy) leading the user back to the parking lots of the CNCPP.
Moderate
Mostly stable trail tread with some variability, with unavoidable obstacles 8in/20cm tall or less. Other obstacles such as rock gullies and steep sections may exist. Ideal for lower intermediate riders.
