Signal Mountain Fire Road Map

Starting from the highway, this fire road climbs more than 1000 metres on its way up Signal Mountain. You can of course turn around at any point, but the rewarding views come at the very top. Most of the trail is in the forest, but eventually it emerges above treeline. Up there, conditions can be quite variable and sometimes intense with cold and wind. If you want to travel very far in this alpine zone, it's recommended to bring extra traction devices for icy conditions. Avalanche danger is typically low anywhere along the road, but hazards exist elsewhere nearby.
