This snowshoe itinerary is of a medium difficulty and should take a party of average fitness roughly two hours. It makes for an excellent roundtrip through a quiet and secluded forest. The loop takes in 200 meters of vertical gain and loss. Starting from the parking in the hamlet of Le Couteray take the Loriaz forest track to Les Granges and follow the sign for Les Granges Nord. At an old sheep fold descend back left in the direction of Le Lay-Le Couteray.
