Hidden behind the Pic des Crampettes, you wouldn't know this super fun couloir was there! The approach in the winter can be skinning up from the Tournaboup parking lot and then skiing back to out to the car. But in the spring, when the lower elevation doesn’t have snow, it's more complicated, and takes a lot longer. The couloir to The Gem's south, My Precious, is also very worth the approach, but often does not fill in enough for a continuous descent. Find more info and photos at www.couloirquest.com. The difficulty rating for this route uses the posted FATMAP criteria.

Difficulty
