Zugspitze via Reintal - Cable Car Down Map

Here you are truly walking on historical paths, because Lieutenant Josef Naus took this path as early as 1820 for the first ascent of the Zugspitze. The brilliant start with the Partnach Gorge lets other alpine beauties follow: The ascent through the Reintal is one of the most beautiful routes to the Zugspitze. It is certainly one of the longest in terms of route, but it is easy to cope with with sufficient fitness and is well signposted. The refreshment stops and overnight stays with the Reintalangerhütte and Knorrhütte allow you to split up this tour individually into one or two daily stages.

Description

With the two-day variant, you can refresh yourself on the first day at the Reintalangerhütte and let your feet relax comfortably in the Partnach (also easy to do with the 1-day variant :)). On hot days, just grab a garden chair and sit directly in the stream with the cyclist in hand. If you want to cool off in the mountain water, you can do so in the pools at the Partnach waterfall. In addition, after about 100 m west of the Reintalangerhütte, you can visit the Partnach origin, which is fed by the meltwater from the Schneeferner glacier.
