This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be severe. It's remote, it features high exposure (e3) and is typically done between February and April. From a low point of 769 m to the maximum altitude of 2.6 km, the route covers 20 km, 2346 vertical metres of ascent and 2342 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 4.2 and Labande grade 5. You'll need skins, ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.
