Description

Döeberitzer Heide is a 3600 hectare nature reserve containing 980 protected plant and animal species, just west of Berlin. Formerly a military training ground the area has been transformed into a natural paradise where around 90 bison, 24 Przewalski horses and 90 red deer now roam the forests and grasslands.

The area is also a favourite spot for Berlin’s mountain bikers, as it's got lots of varied terrain and tonnes of trails to try. Here is a popular loop tour, taking you around many of Döeberitzer Heide’s mountain biking highlights.
