Keep it simple and easy - a great way to start off piste.

Expert or beginner off piste you can have fun no matter what your ability and this run is an ideal place to start. This is an expert's warm up run or a beginner's opportunity to practice steep (ish) skiing technique. Upon exiting the Cresta Youla Cable car when you see Red Run 21 (which is still really fun) look right. The run begins with a traverse and the higher you stay, the longer your run. Try to traverse for around 40-50 metres. You will see you are very near the piste but this can be a fun little trip down. The snow gathers and holds very well on this little face so although your descent is only around 200 metres, it is fun to ride fast and before joining the Youla/21 red piste. There are no cliffs, ditches or large rocks of note. Of course it is always good to err on the side of caution but you can ride with a certain level of confidence. Written by Angelica Sykes
