This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between April and May. From a low point of 1.9 km to the maximum altitude of 3.5 km, the route covers 17 km, 1693 vertical metres of ascent and 1699 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 2.1 and Labande grade 3. You'll need rope, skins, ice axe, crampons and glacier kit to complete it safely.
