Cima del Duca - Via Normale

Interesting and moderately difficult route that develops along a less attended pathway. The complete absence of glacier allows to avoid ice axes. However the rock ridge showed be not underestimated. Many exposed points can be found, as well as a III degree climb.

Cima del Duca - Via Normale Map

After reaching the Rifugio Porro continue straight for 30 meters and the take a sharp left, walking toward the pathway of the "Larice Millenario". After reaching the tree (recognisable with a "1000" sign) continue in SE direction, leaving the afore mentioned pathway and pointing to a rockfall. Pass beyond the rock jump on the right and continue gaining meters along the rockfall. Multiple white marks show the route. Once the terrain becomes less steep, take a sharp right, direction S, and walk beyond - or across, depending on snow state - what remains of an ancient glacier. Thereafter walk in a quite hard colouir on the left (direction E) until a small saddle. From there continue along the ridge until the top (direction S)
