Day 23 of the Grande Traversate delle Alpi (GTA), the famous long-distance hiking trail across the Italian Alps.

This is an easygoing 13.5km hike characterized by its long flat stretches and winding descents, with zero elevation gain. From the Alpe Toglie hut, follow the gravel track passed the station down to Borgata Assiere and Meana di Susa. The path is signposted throughout, taking you to the historic town of Susa, which has a rich history and many well preserved Roman ruins. It is one of the more popular and touristic stops along the GTA, situated at the foot of the Cottian Alps, 51km west of Turin. **Sources** Written by FATMAP Official
