This is a popular alpine climbing route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's very remote, it features medium exposure and is typically done between September and January. From a low point of 903 m to the maximum altitude of 2.5 km, the route covers 8 km, 1691 vertical metres of ascent and 55 vertical metres of descent. You'll need bivy kit, crampons, glacier kit and 2 ice axes to complete it safely.

Description

The Southwest Face provides a fast snow ramp to gain the west ridge high on the mountain.
