Bay Burn Trail Map

Starting at the Bay Burn hut, this formed trail begins just above the tree line in an open alpine basin. It quickly enters native bush while following the Bay Burn river. There are two river crossings on this trail so be cautious after a big rainfall. The track terminates on the western border of the Minaret Station hunting block. If there are no hunters in the block a good place to finish the hike is at the hunting block hut which offers views overlooking the station and Lake Wanaka. Roughly 10km return in 3hrs.
