Lake Brienz West Loop Map

This loop ride climbs up into the forest but never strays too far from town, and the terrain is not so challenging, so everyone in the family will have a great time. Starting at the Interlaken train station, head to the lakeside and cycle around in an anticlockwise direction until you reach the crossing. Cross the lake, and when you are on the other side, take the track which climbs up into the forest and surrounding alpine meadows. The track will eventually begin to descend back down into Interlaken, taking you right back to the train station from which you started. From beginning to end, there are fantastic views of Lake Brienz and the surrounding glaciated peaks of the Bernese Alps.
