Drop in following Theodulpass or Carlo - Roberto - Spazzatura off-piste tracks and you will enjoy one of the longest freeride lines available on the Alps. When reaching the path groomed by the snowcat, cross it towards the dip going down towards the left side of Plain Maison. This is the easy part of the run, where you can enjoy fresh powder and unmarked lines. It's also a sunny section and you can see both the Matterhorn and the W/S area towards Gran Sometta peak and Valtournenche.

Description

When getting closer to the dam, take a break and a breath because things here will turn very challenging even for expert riders. The line going on the right side of the dam (coming from uphill) will give you two choices: the rightmost one is the so called "direct line" and it's very steep, while the leftmost one is steep but acceptable for expert riders. If there is enough snow, it should also be possible to stay uphill and very close to the dam wall, going towards S and the left side of the dam, where and easier line will leads you to the base of the wall. From here it's an easy flat ride, where keeping some speed is important to avoid walking. Staying at the bottom of the dip will bring you back down to Cervinia at Bardoney sub area, where the cable car or the gondolas will bring you up again for another long ride. Pay attention as with all freeride lines: with the wrong snowpack conditions could be very dangerous.
