My avalanche by Xavier de le Rue Map

This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between February and April. From a low point of 1.5 km to the maximum altitude of 2.5 km, the route covers 1.7 km, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 998 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.1 and Labande grade 4. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

A "mellow" face, that is at high risk of avalanche from loading and very dangerous due to the fact it funnels into a narrow gulley.

Serious gradient of 30-38 degrees where a real risk of slipping exists.
