Elephants Headwall Map

This is one of the most famous runs in this Elephants Back area. Hike to the top of Elephants back and head towards the rock cliff. To Skiers' right of these cliffs, there will be a narrow chute that's extremely awkward to ski as it's at an angle and consists of several protruding rocks. Luckily after this initial section, you're met with a wide open bowl that usually contains some fantastic powder. Keep your speed as this bowl quickly turns into a flat backcountry "cat-track". There will be a few more mildly steep sections till you get to a part where you must hike out to get back to where the other runs in this area funnel out to. Definitely an above average double black diamond difficulty!
