Insanity Couloir Map

As the name implies, this Couloir is pure insanity. To get to this unknown spot, hike up to the starting point of the Upper Irene Trail. Instead of skiing towards Deadwood Peak, you'll come to a narrow saddle right above Round Top Lake: This is the start of Insanity Couloir. The couloir itself is unbelievably narrow and stupendously steep: one of the hardest in the Round Top/Deadwood Peak Area. As soon as you exit the couloir, you must make a sharp turn skiers' left in order to avoid taking an unexpected plunge into the lake. Yet at the speeds that you'll be going after you exit the couloir, there's a very good chance of you crashing even after you dodge a swim in the lake. This run is truly extreme and best for the truly tenured skiers.
