Hull Mountain South Ridge approach Map

A nice direct ski tour or snowshoe up to the summit of Hull Mountain with possibilities for fun descents on the north bowls or back down the south aspects if snow coverage is sufficient. This route starts at a turnout on the road that we call Camp #3. Depending on snow conditions you might not be able to drive this high or maybe you can drive higher. Either way the route follows the forest road for the most part until around 6200 feet where you should branch off the road and take a single track trail that is more direct route to the summit following the predominant south ridge up. There are numerous switchbacks on the road before the single track trail, which in a good snow year with deep snowpack you can skip and go directly up. The south aspect has really fun and steeper ski descent options when the snow is deep and stable enough.
