The traverse route to take after you enter through the backcountry gate

Not the most intense run in the park, and often not super easy to find, Mustang Gate is a nice simple way to escape the crowds of the ski area without much effort. Once you find the gate off the ridge, you will enter down a short steep slope. As you enter the bottom of the steep slope, you will look for an entrance into the woods skier's right. At this entrance, it will turn into an uphill traverse, and you will have to sidestep until you find the correct route through tight trees. From here, you will follow the traverse around the lower angle powder field until it cannot go any further. Written by Josh Barilar
