Thru hike from Snowmass Lake to Capitol Creek Trail
Hiking Moderate
Take a detour from the traditional and busy Four Pass Loop and enjoy an equally as stunning 4 day thru hike! This loop starts at the Snowmass Lake Trailhead, where you will need to LEAVE one vehicle! This route ends at the Capitol Creek trailhead, where you will NEED another vehicle! Beginning at snowmass trailhead, continue to snowmass lake for night one. Gorgeous! Continue over the pass to Geneva Lake. All on trail. From this point you can choose to follow the trail this outlines, or take a detour up to Siberia Lake and stay there for the night - then go over Siberia Pass to Avalanche Lake. This tremendously cuts off mileage but is all off route and major boulder hopping. Regardless, the next day you will end up at Avalanche Lake, then the following head your way out to Capitol Creek trail. One of my favorite thru hikes, just remember you need TWO cars. Enjoy!
Moderate
Hiking along trails with some uneven terrain and small hills. Small rocks and roots may be present.
