Isabelle Glacier Map

Take the Isabelle Glacier Trail all the way. The longest run on the glacier is off Apache Peak's North Ridge (a.k.a. the Kasparov Traverse for those climbers out there who are curious). Head as if you were going to Queen's Way, but then stay climber's right. Climb as high as you want and ski back down. This will be in very late in the season since it's a permanent snowfield.

Difficulty

Severe

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.

Low Exposure (E1)

1 out of 4

Exposure is limited to that of the slope itself. Getting hurt is still likely if the slope is steep and/or the snow is hard.

Remoteness

3 out of 4

Little chance of being seen or helped in case of an accident.
